Change your perception, and your reality changes
Our perceptions trigger physical responses in our chemistry: immune response, hormonal balance, and so on. With each response, Neuropathways are used or newly created. As responses become habituated, the Neuro-pathways become Neuro-highways, leading eventually to changes in the structure and make-up of our bodies.
We may be pre-disposed through ancestral DNA-coding, conditioning, or our environment.
We may have felt unloved, unseen, and unappreciated in our development. These unresolved emotional imprints can play out in adulthood, they can lead to unconscious identification with their inner child’s original wounding, and behave accordingly.
While most of the activity of the body/mind takes place at the autonomic, unconscious level, our conscious mind can play a deliberate part.
We have the possibility through the neuroplasticity of our brain, to respond in creative ways, and to overcome survival responses conducted by our reptilian brain. Conscious choices are processed in the creative frontal Neuro-cortex. As we allow new Neuropathways to form we can change our relationship to past imprinting, take a new perspective, and feel differently about it. This changes our reality.
That is why it is imperative to do the internal work, so our wounds no longer define our actions. In fact, they serve as doorways to wisdom and evolution. It can be likened to Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
As we open up more to our potential and begin to embody it, the newly created Neuropathways in our brain become highways to ease and abundance, supporting us to live a life of greater freedom, abundance, and ease.
